Rory Kavanagh from Treascon, Portarlington, made history last week as Ireland’s first representative in the Children on Horses Dressage European Championships. Riding the Danish-bred Salancio, Rory scored 62.192% in the preliminary test and 64.461% in the team test. Rory is a member of the Horse Sport Ireland Youth Dressage High Performance Programme and is a member of the Leinster region of Dressage Ireland. He is trained by his mum Marguerite Mc Sweeney.
