Nine combinations in the amateur competition through to the jump-off came from the A category, as did the eventual winner Fran Rush on Zero Wattage, whose fast time of 42.60secs set a pace that couldn’t be bettered. Although Enda Ivanoff on Quinnsflight from the AA category did his best, his time of 44.31 seconds gave him second place. Emma Andrews and The Elf were third, having gone clear in 47.93.

The second competition for five-year-old horses produced a worthy winner in Angela Percy on Darwin D’Hyrencourt. Percy was one of only five combinations to go clear giving her a place in the jump-off.
