Four teams competed for the high goal Millrace cup while the remaining four wrestled for the Wexford challenge cup in the low goal tournament.

In the low goal tournament, Saturday’s play-offs saw Rockett’s Castle, with a half goal handicap in their favour, take their place against the Rosetown team. A very fast and exciting match ensued, with a very even score chart continuing into the second chukka, until Rosetown’s three goal flurry allowed them a clear lead. Not to be deterred, a couple of penalties cleverly put away by Rockett’s Castle’s Tom Driver, brought them back into contention. However, the effort was no match for Rosetown’s Tom Berney and Stephen Power, who added another five points to give them a decisive victory of nine goals to six and a half.
