  • Esoterique won the Group 1 Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard – Jacques le Marois over a mile at Deauville, a second win at the highest level for the daughter of retired stallion Danehill Dancer (by Danehill). The Andre Fabre-bred five-year-old was bred by Societe Civile de l'Ecurie de Meautry, she is out of Dievotchka (by Dancing Brave), and she is a half-sister to the Group 2 winners Archange D'Or (by Danehill), Russian Cross (by Cape Cross) and Russian Hope (by Rock Hopper).

  • Candarliya won the Group 3 Prix Minerve over 12 and a half furlongs on very soft ground at Deauville, following-up on her listed race success at Longchamp last month. H H the Aga Khan's homebred three-year-old is trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre, and she is a daughter of Gilltown Stud stallion Dalakhani (by Darshaan) who will be at Haras de Bonneval in 2016. She is the first foal out of Candara (by Barathea) and the blacktype horses in her family include the Group 2-winning miler Wixim (by Diesis).

  • Highland Reel was a wide-margin winner of the Grade 1 Secretariat Stakes over 10 furlongs at Arlington Park, a third pattern success for the classic-placed son of multiple champion sire Galileo (by Sadler's Wells). The Aidan O'Brien-trained three-year-old was bred by the Hveger Syndicate, he is a half-brother to the dual Group 1-placed filly Valdemoro (by Encosta De Lago), and his dam Hveger (by Danehill) is a full-sister to the Group 1 star Elvstroem and half-sister to the Group 1 scorer Haradasun (by Fusaichi Pegasus).

  • Watsdachances was awarded the Grade 1 Beverly D Stakes over nine and a half furlongs at Arlington Park, giving her sire Diamond Green (by Green Desert) a first winner at the highest level. A Navan maiden winner for the Ger Lyons stable in 2012, the five-year-old is now trained by Chad Brown. She was bred by Meath footballer Padraic Lyons, and she is out of High Finance (by Entrepreneur), a winning half-sister to the Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes scorer Reunion (by Be My Guest).

  • Adaay won the Group 2 Betfred Hungerford Stakes over seven furlongs at Newbury, a second win at that level for the son of Tally-Ho Stud stallion Kodiac (by Danehill). The William Haggas-trained three-year-old was bred by L Fox, he is out of Lady Lucia (by Royal Applause), and his stakes-placed half-brother Mullionmileanhour (by Mull Of Kintyre) sired the winner of the previous race on the card, a seven furlong handicap.

  • Classic star New Bay won the Group 2 Prix Guillaume d'Ornano – Haras du Logis Saint-Germain over 10 furlongs at Deauville, a third win from five starts for the Juddmonte Farms homebred. Trained by Andre Fabre, the son of Dalham Hall sire Dubawi (by Dubai Millennium) is out of the stakes winning Cinnamon Bay (by Zamindar) whose dam Trellis Bay (by Sadler's Wells) is a half-sister to the classic heroine Wemyss Bight (by Dancing Brave). It is the family of Oasis Dream (by Green Desert) and Kingman (by Invincible Spirit).

  • Maimara, a listed scorer at Maisons-Laffitte last month, won the Group 3 Prix de Lieurey over a mile at Deauville. The Mikel Delzangles-trained three-year-old represents the first crop of Haras de Bonneval stallion Makfi (by Dubawi). She is a half-sister to the Group 3 scorer Ombrage (by Orpen) and to the listed winner Cisneros (by Johannesburg), and her stakes-placed dam Hideaway Heroine (by Hernando) is a grand-daughter of the pattern scorer Ahononey (by Ahonoora).

  • Agent Murphy won the Group 3 Betfred Geoffrey Freer Stakes over an extended 13 furlongs at Newbury, a first pattern success for the Brian Meehan-trained son of Kildangan Stud stallion Cape Cross (by Green Desert). He was bred by Wellsummers Farm, he is out of Raskutani (by Dansili) and his dam is a half-sister to Group 2 scorer Hatta Fort (by Cape Cross) and also to Blue Bayou (by Bahamian Bounty) who won the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket a week ago.

  • Bello Matteo won the Group 3 Prix Gontaut-Biron Hong Kong Jockey Club over 10 furlongs at Deauville, a second pattern success for Rocco Stasi's homebred and gelded son of Haras du Hoguenet stallion Montmartre (by Montjeu). The Romain Le Gal-trained four-year-old is out of Lidawar (by Sendawar), who comes from a branch of the family of dual Group 1 scorer Linngari (by Indian Ridge).

  • Baino Hope won the Group 2 Shadwell Prix de Pomone over 12 and a half furlongs at Deauville, a first pattern success for the previously Group 2-placed stakes winning daughter of the late Jeremy (by Danehill Dancer). She was bred by Haras de Manneville, she is trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, and she is out of Baino Ridge (by Highest Honor), which makes her a half-sister to the pattern-placed stakes wnner Baino Rock (by Rock Of Gibraltar).

  • Kodi Bear was an easy winner of a strong edition of the Group 3 totepool Sovereign Stakes over a mile at Salisbury, a third blacktype success for the Clive Cox-trained three-year-old. Bred by Mrs M Fox, he is a son of Tally-Ho Stud stallion Kodiac (by Danehill), he is a half-brother to several winners, and his unraced dam Hawattef (by Mujtahid) comes from a branch of the family of the Group 1 star Esoterique (by Danehill Dancer).

  • Cougar Mountain won the Group 3 Invesco Pension Consultants Desmond Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown, a second win in 10 starts for the Group 1-placed four-year-old. Trained by Aidan O'Brien and bred by his Whisperview Trading Ltd, the son of Australian champion sire Fastnet Rock (by Danehill) is out of Descant (by Nureyev). The mare is an unraced half-sister to the classic and juvenile star Zafonic (by Gone West) and also to the pattern-winning Group 1 sire Zamindar (by Gone West).
