Last year's Group 2 Derby Italiano hero Dylan Mouth, whose only defeat is a below par effort in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at Ascot last summer, notched up his second Group 1 success when taking the Gran Premio di Milano over 12 furlongs at San Siro, winning by five lengths.

The win completed a major double this weekend for the Castle Hyde Stud stallion Dylan Thomas (by Danehill) as it followed the victory of Pether's Moon in the Group 1 Coronation Cup at Epsom on Saturday. Dylan Mouth was bred by Azienda Agricola Mariano, he is trained by Stefano Botti, and he is the first foal out of the Group 3 scorer Cottonmouth (by Noverre). His dam is a half-sister to the Grade 1 winning hurdler Jumbo Rio (by Captain Rio).

Ito was an easy winner of the Group 2 Grosser Preis der Badischen Unternehmer over 11 furlongs at Baden-Baden, a second blacktype success for Gestut Schlenderhan's homebred son of Adlerflug (by In The Wings). He represents the first crop of that Gestut Harzburg stallion, a horse who comes from the family of Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) and Sea The Stars (by Cape Cross), and he is trained by Jean-Pierre Carvalho.

Ito is a half-brother to the stakes placed Iniciar (by Galileo), his dam Iota (by Tiger Hill) won the Group 1 Preis der Diana (German Oaks) in 2005, and her blacktype siblings include the Group 2-placed pattern scorer Illo (by Tertullian).

Ainippe won the Group 3 TRM Ballyogan Stakes over six furlongs at the Curragh, a third win from seven starts for the Ger Lyons-trained daughter of Captain Rio (by Pivotal). She was bred by John Kennedy, she is the best among a string of winners out of Imitation (by Darshaan) and her dam is an unraced full-sister to the Group 2 winning miler Darnay.

Golden Horn secured his place in the history books with victory in the Group 1 Investec Derby at Epsom, beating his stable companion Jack Hobbs (by Halling) in good style. The undefeated colt is a second Derby hero for the Kildangan Stud stallion Cape Cross (by Green Desert) and a third Epsom classic winner for him.

He was bred by Hascombe and Valiant Studs, he is the second foal out of Fleche D'Or (by Dubai Destination) and he is a half-brother to the pattern-placed stakes winner Eastern Belle (by Champs Elysees) who was runner-up in the Grade 2 New York Stakes over 10 furlongs at Belmont Park last night. His dam is a half-sister to the Group 1 Coronation Stakes heroine Rebecca Sharp (by Machiavellian) and to the middle-distance stakes winners Mystic Knight (by Caerleon) and Hidden Hope (by Daylami).

Pether's Moon sprang an 11/1 surprise in a tactical edition of the Group 1 Investec Coronation Cup at Epsom, getting up near the line to beat the front-running favourite Dolniya. The Richard Hannon-trained five-year-old is a son of the Coolmore stallion Dylan Thomas (by Danehill), who stands at Castle Hyde Stud.

He was bred by Michael Daly, cost €52,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, is out of the Group 3 scorer Softly Tread (by Tirol) and he is a full-brother to the triple winner Mona Brown. His grandam Second Guess (by Ela-Mana-Mou) is a winning half-sister to several blacktype earners including the Group 1-placed Heed My Warning (by Second Set).

Almanaar won the Group 3 Prix Paul de Moussac over a mile at Chantilly, a second blacktype success for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum's homebred three-year-old. He is a gelded son of Dalham Hall Stud's outstanding sire Dubawi (by Dubai Millennium), he is out of the Grade 2 scorer Baqah (by Bahhare) and his fourth dam is the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies heroine Brave Raj (by Rajab).

Qualify sprang a 50/1 shock in the Group 1 Investec Oaks, getting up on the line to pip the 1000 Guineas heroine Legatissimo. It is a third win from 10 starts for the Aidan O'Brien-trained daughter of Australian champion sire Fastnet Rock (by Danehill) who shuttled to Coolmore Stud for several years.

She was bred by Whisperview Trading Ltd and she is the third foal out of the Group 2 Park Hill Stakes runner-up Perihelion (by Galileo). Her grandam is a half-sister to Eva Luna (by Alleged) who is the Park Hill Stakes-winning dam of the Group 1 St Leger winner Brian Boru (by Sadler's Wells) and grandam of 2010's Arc and runaway Derby hero Workforce (by King's Best).

Arod was fourth in last year's Derby, finished third in the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes last month, and notched up his first pattern success with victory in the Group 3 Investec Diomed Stakes over eight and a half furlongs at Epsom.

The Peter Chapple-Hyam trained colt was bred by the partnership of Kabansk Ltd and Rathbarry Stud. He is a son of the Kildangan Stud stallion Teofilo (by Galileo), he is out of My Personal Space (by Rahy), has two blacktype-placed siblings in Italy, and his grandam Pattimech (by Nureyev) is a full-sister to the multiple US Grade 1 star Annoconnor.

Arabian Queen, the only three-year-old in the field, easily won the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes (sponsored by Investec) over eight and a half furlongs at Epsom. It is a second pattern success for Jeff Smith's homebred daughter of Dalham Hall Stud stallion Dubawi (by Dubai Millennium). She is trained by David Elsworth and she is the first foal out of the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks heroine Barshiba (by Barathea).

Amaron notched up his eighth pattern success when narrowly winning the Group 2 Badener Meile over a mile at Baden-Baden. One of those wins has been at Group 1 level, the entire was bred by Genesis Green Stud, and he is trained by Andreas Lowe. He is a son of the Kildangan Stud stallion Shamardal (by Giant's Causeway) and he is the first foal of Amandalini (by Bertolini), who is a grand-daughter of the juvenile Group 1 scorer Tropicaro (by Caro).
