  • Odeliz sprang a 35/1 surprise when taking the Group 1 Darley Jean Romanet over 10 furlongs in very soft ground at Deauville. The Karl Burke-trained five-year-old was bred by Aleyrion Bloodstock Ltd, she is a daughter of the Haras de Grand Chesnaie stallion Falco (by Pivotal) and her dam Acatama (by Efisio) is a half-sister to the dual US Grade 1 scorer Amorama (by Sri Pekan).

  • Herald The Dawn won the Group 2 Galileo European Breeders Fund Futurity Stakes over seven furlongs at the Curragh, a second win from three starts for the son of Dalham Hall Stud stallion New Approach (by Galileo). Bred and trained by Jim Bolger, the colt is out of Hymn Of The Dawn (by Phone Trick) and so is a full-brother to the juvenile champion and classic winning miler Dawn Approach.

  • Alex My Boy won the Group 2 Darley Prix Kergorlay over 15 furlongs on very soft ground at Deauville, adding to his Group 3 success at Longchamp earlier in the year. The Andreas Wohler-trained four-year-old was bred by Orpendale, Chelston & Wynatt, and he is a son of Dalakhani (by Darshaan) who is moving from Gilltown Stud to Haras de Bonneval for 2016. The colt is out of the dual classic star Alexandrova (by Sadler's Wells), a half-sister to the juvenile Group 1 scorer Magical Romance (by Barathea).

  • Found easily beat two rivals to take the Group 3 Kilfrush Stud Royal Whip Stakes over 10 furlongs at the Curragh, a second pattern success for the classic-placed Group 1 star. The Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) three-year-old is trained by Aidan O'Brien and she was bred by Roncon, Wynatt & Chelston. She is out of the mile Group 1 scorer Red Evie (by Intikhab), which makes her a full-sister to the Group 2-placed pattern scorer Magical Dream.

  • Order Of St George easily won the Group 3 Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger Trial Stakes over 14 furlongs at the Curragh, a first pattern success for the Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Galileo (by Sadler's Wells). His entries include next month's Group 1 Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster. He was bred by Paget Bloodstock, he a half-brother to the Group/Grade 3 scorers Asperity (by War Chant) and Angel Terrace (by Ghostzapper), and also to the listed winner Sehoy (by Menifee). His dam Another Storm (by Gone West) is out of the US juvenile champion Storm Song (by Summer Squall).

  • Ajaya, beaten a head in the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin last month, gained compensation with victory in the Group 2 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Gimcrack Stakes over six furlongs at York. Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar's homebred juvenile is trained by William Haggas, he is a son of Irish National Stud ace Invincible Spirit (by Green Desert) and he is the first foal out of Nessina (by Hennessy). His grandam is the Grade 2 scorer Didina (by Nashwan) so he comes from the immediate family of Cityscape (by Selkirk), Bated Breath (by Dansili), and Xaar (by Zafonic).

  • Moviesta won the Group 3 Gerrardstown House Stud Supporting Breast Cancer Research Renaissance Stakes over six furlongs at the Curragh, a second pattern success for the gelded son of Jonabell Farm stallion Hard Spun (by Danzig), and his first win since joining the Eddie Lynam team. The five-year-old was bred by John Gunther, he is out of Miss Brickyard (by A.P. Indy) and his dam is a half-sister to the juvenile Grade 1 scorer Miss Houdini (by Belong To Me).

  • Bear Cheek maintained her unbeaten record with victory in the Group 3 Curragh Stakes over five furlongs at the Curragh. The Ger Lyons-trained juvenile was bred by Tally-Ho Stud, which is where her sire Kodiac (by Danehill) stands. The €125,000 Goresbridge Flat Breeze-Up Sale graduate is out of See Nuala (by Kyllachy), a half-sister to the mile Group 2 and triple listed scorer Aspectoflove (by Danetime).

  • Nakuti scored a narrow success in the Group 3 Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Atalanta Stakes over a mile at Sandown, a second blacktype success for the Sylvester Kirk-trained four-year-old and her first in pattern company. A first-crop daughter of Coolmore Stud sire Mastercraftsman (by Danehill Dancer), she was bred by Eamonn McEvoy, she made €32,000 in Goffs as a foal, and she is the first foal out of Sheba Five (by Five Star Day). Her dam is a half-sister to the talented dual-purpose gelding Arch Rebel (by Arch).

  • Mondialiste won the Group 3 Betfred Mobile Strensall Stakes over nine furlongs at York, a first pattern success for the David O'Meara-trained five-year-old. The Simon Crisford-trained juvenile was bred in Spain by D Gonzalo Ussia Figueroa, he is a son of the Dehesa de Milagro stallion Diktat (by Warning), and he is a £42,000 graduate of the Brightwells Ascot Select 2yo Breeze Up Sale.   • Mecca's Angel swept past the much-vaunted juvenile Acapulco to record an impressive win in the Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes (British Champions Series) over five furlongs at York. It is an eight win from 14 starts for the Michael Dods-trained four-year-old, and her third pattern success. Bred by the partnership of Yeomanstown Stud and Doc Bloodstock, she is a daughter of Morristown Lattin Stud stallion Dark Angel (by Acclamation) and she is out of the blacktype-placed prolific sprinter Folga (by Atraf). Her grandam Desert Dawn (by Belfort) won the Group 3 Prix d'Arenberg.

  • Max Dynamite, who was second in the Northumberland Plate in June and runner-up in the Grade A Galway Hurdle last month, easily won the Group 2 Weatherby Hamilton Lonsdale Cup (British Champions Series) over the extended two miles at York. It is a second win from 10 starts on the flat for the Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old. Bred in France by Haras de Quetieville, he is a son of the Japanese miler Great Journey (by Sunday Silence) and his dam, Mascara (by Monsun), is out of a stakes-winning half-sister to the juvenile Group 2 scorer Muchea (by Shalford).

  • Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Pleascach added the Group 1 Darley Yorkshire Oaks (British Champions Series) over 12 furlongs at York, taking her record to four wins from eight starts. Jim Bolger bred and trains the three-year-old and also bred her sire Teofilo (by Galileo), who stands at Kildangan Stud. The second foal of Toirneach (by Thunder Gulch), she comes from the immediate family of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Distaff heroine Spain (by Thunder Gulch).

  • Besharah won the Group 2 Pinsent Masons Lowther Stakes over six furlongs at York, a second pattern success from six starts for the William Haggas-trained daughter of Tally-Ho Stud stallion Kodiac (by Danehill). She was bred by Gerard Kerin, she is the first foal out of Dixieland Kiss (by Dixie Union), and her dam is a half-sister to the recent US Grade 3 scorer Kiss Moon (by Malibu Moon).

  • Arabian Queen produced one of the shocks of the year when ending the undefeated record of Derby hero Golden Horn in the Group 1 Juddmonte International Stakes over 10 and a half furlongs at York. Jeff Smith's homebred three-year-old is trained by David Elsworth and she is a daughter of Dalham Hall Stud stallion Dubawi (by Dubai Millennium). She is the first foal out of the dual Group 2 Lancashire Oaks winner Barshiba (by Barathea) and comes from the family of the dual Group 1 Irish St Leger scorer Oscar Schindler (by Royal Academy).

  • Storm The Stars won the Group 2 Betway Great Voltigeur Stakes over 12 furlongs at York, a second blacktype success for the William Haggas-trained son of Gilltown Stud stallion Sea The Stars (by Cape Cross) and his first at pattern level. The dual classic-placed three-year-old was bred by Summer Wind Farm and he is the first foal out of Love Me Only (by Sadler's Wells), a half-sister to multiple Group 1 star and multiple US champion sire Giant's Causeway (by Storm Cat).
