  • Found narrowly beat Golden Horn to take the Grade 1 Longines Breeders' Cup Turf over 12 furlongs, her second top-level victory. A three-year-old daughter of multiple champion sire Galileo (by Sadler's Wells), the Aidan O'Brien-trained three-year-old was bred by Roncon, Wynatt & Chelston. She is out of the Group 1 winning miler Red Evie (by Intikhab) and her pedigree was reviewed in detail in the 11th October 2014 edition of The Irish Field.

  • Nyquist maintained his unbeaten record with victory in the Grade 1 Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile over eight and a half furlongs on dirt, all but guaranteeing that the first-crop son of Ashford Stud stallion Uncle Mo (by Indian Charlie) will emulate his sire by being crowned US champion two-year-old. The Doug O'Neill-trained bay was bred by Summerhill Farm, he is the first foal out of Seeking Gabrielle (by Forestry), and his grandam is the Grade 2 scorer Seeking Regina (by Seeking The Gold). This is also the immediate family of the millionaire and Grade 1-winning miler Sahara Sky (by Pleasant Tap).

  • Tepin won the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Mile in great style from the fast-finishing Mondialiste. It is a third win at the highest level for the Mark Casse-trained four-year-old, a daughter of the late Bernstein (by Storm Cat). The $140,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale graduate was bred by Machmer Hall, she is a half-sister to the dual Grade 2-winning miler Vyjack (by Into Mischief), and her dam Life Happened (by Stravinsky) is an unraced half-sister to the Grade 3 sprint winner Disco Rico (by Citidancer).

  • Runhappy won the Grade 1 Twinspires Breeders' Cup Sprint over six furlongs on dirt, a second success at the highest level for the first-crop son of Kentucky Derby hero and WinStar Farm stallion Super Saver (by Maria's Mon). Bred by the partnership of Wayne, Gary, and Bryan Lyster, the Maria Borell-trained three-year-old is a $200,000 Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate, and he is the first foal out of Bella Jolie (by Broken Vow). His dam comes from a successful blacktype-producing family that goes back to the Grade 1 star and successful sire Native Royalty (by Raise a Native).

  • Stephanie's Kitten won the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf over nine and a half furlongs, a fifth win at the highest level for Kenneth and Sarah Ramsey's homebred daughter of their Ramsey Farm stallion Kitten's Joy (by El Prado). The six-year-old multi-millionaire is out of Unfold The Rose (by Catienus), an unraced daughter of the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks heroine Bail Out Becky (by Red Ransom).

  • Wavell Avenue came with a strong late run to take the Grade 1 Twinspires Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint over seven furlongs on dirt, a first graded success for the daughter of the now Saudi Arabian-based Harlington (by Unbridled). The Chad Brown-trained four-year-old was bred by Eugene Melnyk, and she is out of Lucas Street (by Street Deputy), a multiple stakes-placed daughter of the Canadian blacktype scorer Ruby Park (by Bold Ruckus).

  • Mongolian Saturday held on for a narrow win in the Grade 1 Twinspires Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint over five and a half furlongs, a first graded success for the Enebish Ganbat-trained son of the now Korean-based stallion Any Given Saturday (by Distorted Humor). He is a half-brother to the multiple stakes winner Victoryasecret (by Victory Gallop) and his Grade 2-placed stakes-winning dam Miss Hot Salsa (by Houston) is a daughter of the Grade 3 and prolific listed scorer Miss High Blade (by Highland Blade). He was bred by Normandy Farm and he is a $60,000 graduate of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

  • Songbird extended her unbeaten record to four with an impressive victory in the Grade 1 14 Hands Winery Breeders' Cup Juvenile Filles over eight and a half furlongs on dirt. The Jerry Hollendorfer-trained daughter of Jonabell Farm stallion Medaglia d'Oro (by El Prado) is a $400,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale graduate and she was bred by John Antonelli. She is out of the nine furlong Grade 2 scorer Ivanavinalot (by West Acre), grandam of Grade 3 scorer Mico Margarita (by Run Away and Hide) and half-sister to two blacktype winners. An easy winner at Woodbine on her previous start, she was bred by Branch Equine Llc, she is a $75,000 Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate, and her stakes-winning dam Halo River (by Irish River) comes from the family of the Group 1 stars Forest Flower (by Green Desert) and Night Of Thunder (by Dubawi).

  • Liam's Map won the Grade 1 Las Vegas Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, a second win at the highest level for the Todd Pletcher-trained son of the late Unbridled's Song (by Unbridled). The $800,000 Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate was bred by Albaugh Family Stable Llc, he is out of the Grade 3-winning sprinter Miss Macy Sue (by Trippi), and he is due to join the stallion team at Lane's End Farm upon completion of his racing career.
