Many Clouds: The 2015 Grade 3 Crabbie's Grand National hero, a third winner of the race for owner Trevor Hemmings, is an eight-year-old son of the Group 1 winning Old Road Stud stallion Cloudings (by Sadler's Wells), and he is trained by Oliver Sherwood.

He was bred by Aidan Aherne, who sold him for €6,000 in Fairyhouse as a foal, and he is a half-brother to the dual Grade 1 star The Tullow Tank (by Oscar). His dam Bobbing Back (by Bob Back) is an unplaced full-sister to the blacktype placed staying chaser Back On Line.

Sizing Granite: The Henry De Bromhead-trained seven-year-old took his record over fences to four wins from five starts with victory in the Grade 1 Doom Bar Maghull Novices' Chase over two miles at Aintree on Saturday.

The gelding was bred by Thomas Kelly, he made just €4,200 in Fairyhouse as a foal, and he is a €68,000 graduate of the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale at that same venue. He is a half-brother to the dual hurdle-winning mare Doransfirth (by Flemensfirth), his dam Hazel's Tisrara (by Mandalus) also won over hurdles, and he is easily the best horse in a family that has produced only a few winners within the first four generations.

Sizing Granite is a son of the classic-winning Grange Stud stallion Milan (by Sadler's Wells) and that stallion also struck on Saturday with Duke Of Lucca in the Listed Betfred Handicap Chase over three miles, one furlong at Aintree.

A repeat winner of this race, the Philip Hobbs-trained 10-year-old was bred by Liam Gilsenen who sold him for €24,000 in Fairyhouse as a foal. Three years later the gelding made €92,000 at the Goffs Landrover Sale. His dam Derravaragh Native (by Be My Native) is a half-sister to the Grade A Kerry National winner White Star Line (by Saddlers' Hall).

Nichols Canyon: The son of Derby hero and Haras du Logis stallion Authorized (by Montjeu) notched up his third Grade 1 win with victory in the World Famous JUST EAT Mersey Novices' Hurdle over two and a half miles at Aintree on Saturday.

The Willie Mullins trained five-year-old, who was a dual listed scorer on the flat, was bred by Rabbah Bloodstock Ltd. He is out of Zam Zoom (by Dalakhani), he is a half-brother to the lightly-raced stakes placed filly Bright Approach (by New Approach), and he comes from the family of the Group 1 stars Luso (by Salse) and Warrsan (by Caerleon).

Whisper: The Nicky Henderson-trained seven-year-old scored a repeat victory in the Grade 1 Silver Cross Stayers' Hurdle (registered as The Liverpool Hurdle Race) over three miles, 110 yards at Aintree on Saturday. His overall record over hurdles is now seven wins from 13 starts.

He was bred by Hubert and Sandra Hosselet, he is a son of the Group 1 winning Haras de la Croix Sonnet stallion Astarabad (by Alleged), and he is a full-brother to the dual French blacktype hurdles scorer Chuchoteuse. His dam Belle Yepa (by Mansonnien) was a multiple winner over obstacles in France and she is a full-sister to the Grade 1 placed, Grade 3-winning French chaser Subehargues.

Territories: Godolphin's homebred three-year-old comes from the family of the Group 1 stars Helen Street (by Troy), Street Cry (by Machiavellian) and Shamardal (by Giant's Causeway), he is a son of the Irish National Stud's flag bearer Invincible Spirit (by Green Desert), and so he has a stallion's pedigree.

On Sunday the Andre Fabre-trained bay advertised his classic potential with victory in the one mile Group 3 Prix de Fontainebleau at Longchamp. He is the fifth foal out of the stakes placed Taranto (by Machiavellien), he is a half-brother to three winners, and his dam is out of the Group 3 winning stayer Magna Graecia (by Warning). Group 1 Irish Oaks heroine Helen Street is his fourth dam.

Mexican Gold: A Juddmonte Farms homebred, the Andre Fabre-trained three-year-old got up on the line to take the Group 3 Prix de la Grotte over a mile at Longchamp on Sunday.

She is out of Hachita (by Gone West), she is a half-sister to the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Announce (by Selkirk), and she comes from the immediate family of the juvenile champion and classic hero Zafonic (by Gone West). She is also related to the Group 1 stars Elmaamul (by Diesis) and Reams Of Verse (by Nureyev).

Success Days: The grey made all for an impressive win in the Group 3 P.W. McGrath Memorial Ballysax Stakes over 10 furlongs at Leopardstown on Sunday, taking his record to three wins from five starts.

The Ken Condon-trained colt was bred by his owner Robert Ng and by Dermot Farrington. He is the third foal out of the pattern placed French sprint winner Malaica (by Roi Gironde), who stayed a mile, and his grandam Carmel (by Highest Honor) is a half-sister to the Group 1 Prix Ganay scorer Execute (by Suave Dancer).

His sire Jeremy (by Danehill Dancer) spent five years at the Irish National Stud and was in his second year at Garryrichard Stud when he died aged just 11.

Zawraq: Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum's homebred colt advertised his classic claims with an impressive victory in the Listed Leopardstown 2000 Guineas Trial Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown on Sunday.

The Dermot Weld-trained bay is unbeaten in two starts, he is a son of Kildangan Stud's excellent sire Shamardal (by Giant's Causeway), and he is the best of the winners out of Sundus (by Sadler's Wells). Fanciful Angel: The dual stakes placed Marco Botti-trained three-year-old showed his appreciation for a step up in trip when winning the Listed Rob Moseley International Stakes over a mile on the artificial track at Lingfield on Saturday. It is his second win from seven starts.

The grey was bred by Berjis Desai, he made €80,000 in Goffs as a foal and 50,000gns as a Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale juvenile, and he is a son of the Morristown Lattin Stud's notably successful stallion Dark Angel (by Acclamation).

He is a half-brother to a winner in France and his dam Fanciful Dancer (by Groom Dancer) was unraced. It is a family whose branches have yielded a lot of stakes winners, including the Group 2 scorer Kingscote (by Kings Lake) and her classic placed, pattern winning son Rainbow Corner (by Rainbow Quest).

Dark Angel struck again on Sunday when Stormfly won the Group 3 Leopardstown 1000 Guineas Trial Stakes over seven furlongs. The Dermot Weld-trained grey is out of Intaglia (by Lomitas) who is a half-sister to the stakes winner Indian Breeze (by Monsun) and to three horses who were stakes placed.

Amaron: The six-year-old son of Kildangan Stud stallion Shamardal (by Giant's Causeway) won the Group 3 Wettmeister Fruhjahrsmeile over a mile at Dusseldorf on Sunday, a seventh pattern success for the Group 1 scorer.

He was bred by Genesis Green Stud Ltd, he is out of Amandalini (by Bertolini), and his dam is a half-sister to the Grade 1 placed US Grade 2 scorer Persianlux (by Persian Bold). His third dam is the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner and Group 1 Prix Saint-Alary runner-up Tropicaro (by Caro).

Paco Boy: The Group 1 ace and Highclere Stud stallion notched up the fourth stakes winner from his first crop when Making Trouble won a seven and a half furlong listed contest at Dusseldorf on Sunday.

Hollies Pearl: The Peter Bowen-trained mare won the Listed Pinsent Masons Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race over two miles, one furlong at Aintree on Saturday, and she is another blacktype winner for Shade Oak Stud's Group 1 winner Black Sam Bellamy (by Sadler's Wells), a full-brother to Galileo and half-brother to Sea The Stars (by Cape Cross).

She was bred by the partnership of Shade Oak Stud and David Jenks, and she is out of Posh Pearl (by Rakaposhi King) who was a Grade 2 placed triple bumper scorer and also placed over hurdles. Posh Pearl's half-brother Hobbs Hill (by Alflora) won a pair of Grade 2 chases.

Cyrus Darius: Bred by Lingbourne Stud and trained by Malcolm Jefferson, the six-year-old extended his unbeaten record over obstacles to three with victory in the Grade 2 E-Lites Top Novices' Hurdle over two miles, 110 yards at Aintree on Friday.

He is a son of the late Mickley Stud stallion Overbury (by Caerleon), he is the first foal out of Barton Belle (by Barathea), and his dam is a bumper-winning half-sister to the Group 3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes scorer Smokey Oakey (by Tendulkar).

Barters Hill: Boardsmill Stud stallion Kalanisi (by Doyoun) has an exciting son in Barters Hill, the Ben Pauling-trained five-year-old who extended his unbeaten record to four in the Grade 2 Weatherbys Wealth Management Champion Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Aintree on Friday.

He was bred by Lady Fowler and he is the first winner under National Hunt rules for his dam Circle The Wagons (by Commanche Run), a half-sister to the Grade 1 Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner and Grade 2 chase scorer Fundamentalist (by Supreme Leader).

Theinval: The Nicky Henderson-trained five-year-old won the Grade 3 Alder Hey Children's Charity Handicap Hurdle over two and a half miles at Aintree on Friday, a first blacktype success for the son of Haras des Sablonnets stallion Smadoun (by Kaldoun).

He was bred by the partnership of V Berouard, L Berouard, and S Chatelain, he is a half-brother to a couple of winners in France, and he is out of Kinevees (by Hard Leaf).
