GILLTOWN Stud’s classic-placed stakes winner Born To Sea (by Invincible Spirit) notched up his third winner when Star Of Rory made a winning debut over seven furlongs at Haydock on Saturday. Bred by Kilcarn Stud, the Derby-entered colt is a half-brother to several winners out of Dame Alicia (by Sadler’s Wells), a winning half-sister to Grade 1-placed Grade 2 scorer Century City (by Danzig) and daughter of Canadian champion Alywow (by Alysheba).

Andok (by Elzaam) was also a seven-furlong debut winner, scoring easily at Redcar on Sunday. He was bred by Leslie Laverty, is out of My Causeway Dream (by Giant’s Causeway), and comes from the family of 2008 Argentine champion Pryka (by Southern Halo) and of US Grade 1 star Contredance (by Danzig). Istan (by Excelebration), who is out of the classic-placed stakes winner Something Exciting (by Halling), won the six-furlong nursery at the Curragh on Sunday, and Bongrace (by Helmet), who scored over seven furlongs at Musselburgh on Tuesday, is also by a top-class son of Exceed And Excel (by Danehill).
