ALAN Vard , senior development manager at GOAL Global, has news of a great offer from Annemarie and Joseph O’Brien in support of GOAL’s fundraising.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience what it is like to own a horse in training with Joseph O’Brien for a season. The horse will run in your colours and you will enjoy VIP access as an owner for the 2022 flat season and 10% of the horse’s winnings for the season will be donated to GOAL. (Prize money is not included, and you will need to register with HRI. If Visualisation is unable to race next year another horse will race in your colours instead).

So not only would you have the excitement of cheering home your horse, he will also be raising additional money for GOAL and their life-saving work.

Visualisation, a three-year-old colt by No Nay Never, owned by Annemarie and trained by Joseph, raced nine times in 2021, winning four times and was placed a further three times.

He competed at group-race level last year and ran at a variety of tracks including winning at the Curragh and Leopardstown. He is a gorgeous big bay horse with a lovely temperament. If you are his new owner for the coming year, he loves carrots so be sure to bring some when you visit.

Due to the rise in cases of Covid-19 in Ireland, the GOAL team took the decision to postpone the GOAL Ball until 2022, a tough and dispiriting decision but entirely necessary. This leaves a major gap in GOAL’s fundraising targets for the year, which in turn has a direct and negative impact on the humanitarian support GOAL’s provides to millions of people around the world.

Life-saving

Quite simply, GOAL cannot deliver its life-saving aid and services in places like Syria, Ethiopia and Haiti without the help and generosity of supporters.

In its place the team at GOAL has accumulated an exceptional line-up of items to bid on through the GOAL online auction including much sought-after art, once-in-a-lifetime sporting experiences and wonderful travel opportunities and 100% of proceeds from this online auction will go directly to GOAL’s work.

Go to app.galabid.com/goalball2021, register and enter your email address and phone number and get bidding or call Alan on 086 6084994.
