Freud paints away gambling debts

VISITORS to the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) at Kilmainham can see a wonderful collection of works by the great realist painter Lucian Freud. Among the works are a few of a character named The Big Man and also of his son. The Big Man is none other than Alfie McLean, owner of the top Irish sprinter Dandy Man and a long-time patron of Con Collins.
