A rare, fine quality nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Polo Player’ by Walter Roche (Irish, 1847-1921) is on view at the Sladmore gallery in London. This bronze is produced by the sand cast process by the Coalbrookdale foundry. It is signed ‘W. Roche’ and has a rich dark brown patina with lighter warm reddy brown highlights.
