Paddy Twomey aims Decrypt at July Stakes
on 27 June 2018
The Dark Angel colt won a good maiden at the Curragh recently and is stepping up in class

Trainer Paddy Twomey is looking forward to stepping Decrypt up in class for the Arqana July Stakes at Newmarket next month.

The son of Dark Angel held an entry in the Railway Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday, but the Cashel trainer was happy to give that a miss and wait for the Group 2 over six furlongs on July 12.

Twomey reports Decrypt in fine form following his victory in a Curragh maiden three weeks ago.

“He has come out of the race very well and I’m very happy with him,” said Twomey.

“The form of his maiden runs couldn’t have worked out any better. Every horse in behind seems to have ran very well since.

“He is a very nice horse and we’d be hopeful he’ll step up again from what he has shown so far.

“We have five or six more two-year-olds coming through. They are a nice bunch and hopefully they can do their bit for the yard.”
