Encouragingly, their presence contributed to a lively three days of business, which produced clearance rates of 68% (horses) and 60% (ponies). The market for the older horses was notably strong, especially for proven hunters and competition horses with form. Buyers clustered around the ringside for the better of these, but importantly were still present to sweep up at the lower end.

Positively, demand was still good for the younger horses, and, although prices weakened slightly, the clearance held up well.
