ALTHOUGH Corbally Night travelled home with an ignominious ‘E’ by his name, he easily caught the eye in the EI100. Ridden by Nicola Ennis, the impressive five-year-old son of Emperor Augustus was poised to fill third spot, only to jump the wrong fence three from home.

A winner at Killossery on his debut appearance the previous week, Corbally Night is according to Ennis. “A really balanced horse that is well able to jump and move. I think he’s a proper one. We will probably do some of the YES classes with him and take it along from there.”
