And within that nine-year timespan, nine ISH-registered horses beat the 62,000/1 odds to make it through the qualification, short list, selection and first horse inspection stages for the Tokyo Olympics.

This group of nine range in age from the 19-year-old veteran Castle Larchfield Purdy down to a pair of 10-year-olds: Carnival March and the aptly-named MP Imagine If (See The Breeders’ 10 – page 90), all competing for a variety of countries from Puerto Rico to Thailand.
