The Meath rider was the only Irish rider to make it through to the jump-off from a starting field of 50 riders. He and Adena Springs Stable's mare Quidam's Cherie finished in 44.24 seconds, behind Britain’s Ben Maher and Urico, who finished in 40.85 to win the class. Second place went to Laura Kraut and Nouvelle. O’Connor collected $22,500 for his third place.
