THE organisers of Monday’s Spring Hunter Show at Barnadown were worried that the early date would count against them. However, there were over 130 entries and this Easter Monday fixture looks set to become a permanent one.

Before many ringside spectators, Aileen Dwyer (ride) and Dermot O'Connor (conformation) sorted out the ridden hunters with the assistance of steward Jim Donohoe who, although never in a show ring before, quickly eased into the role.
