NOEL Fehily is set to partner Our Duke in the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup at next month's Festival.

Last year's Irish Grand National hero got his season up and running when accounting for leading novice Presenting Percy in Saturday's Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park and is now as short as 7/1 for the blue riband.

Robbie Power has ridden Our Duke on each of his 10 starts over jumps to date, but as he is due to ride reigning champion Sizing John on his return to Prestbury Park, trainer Jessica Harrington has moved quickly to secure Fehily's services.

Harrington said: "Everything is good this morning (after the race) and the plan is for Noel Fehily to ride Our Duke in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham, providing Sizing John gets there and Robert rides him.

"I was delighted with him (Our Duke) yesterday. It was brilliant to see him do that. I'm very lucky to have to the two of them, but we've got to get them there now."

Fehily is understandably thrilled to have been called up. He said: "It's always good to get the call to ride a horse like him. I'm delighted.

"I thought it was a very good performance yesterday. He looked back to his best and hopefully he'll be raring to go in March.

"There are plenty of horses in with chances, but on his performance yesterday, I think he has as good a chance as any of them."
