GROUP 1 Nunthorpe Stakes winner Margot Did won a Connolly’s Red Mills/The Irish Field Breeder of the Month Award in 2011 for Nick Hartery who breeds in Croom, Co Limerick – a hotbed of an area for producing winners of the highest quality.

A smart juvenile when she was group and listed placed after winning her first two starts, Margot Did blossomed at three and beat 14 rivals to capture the Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York. She was partnered in all of her career starts, bar one, by Hayley Turner and she numbered the Listed Land O’Burns Stakes and Scurry Stakes among her five career successes. She was trained by Michael Bell and placed on seven other occasions.
