EXAGGERATOR gained revenge on Nyquist when he added the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes to a previous win at that level, gained when he captured the Santa Anita Derby. His five victories to date, with winning approaching $3 million, also include the Grade 2 Saratoga Special Stakes as a juvenile.
Runner-up in the Kentucky Derby and the Grade 1 Breeders’ Futurity at Keeneland as a two-year-old, Exaggerator is a Kentucky-bred son of Curlin, himself winner of the Preakness nine years ago. That dual Horse of the Year title winner and earner of more than $10 million is also the sire of the champion Stellar Wind, Belmont Stakes winner Palace Malice, the Travers Stakes winner Keen Ice and the Grade 1 winner Curalina.
