LAST Saturday, our neighbours Gary and Jackie O’Neill held a lawn meet which doubled as a fundraising coffee morning for their daughter Eimear’s upcoming school trip to help a Romanian charity.

You may recall from a previous column that the O’Neill’s terrier Spot is a frequent visitor to Ballinlough to chance his luck with our female dogs. As these visits generally coincide with an emptying of his bladder on our back door, I even threatened to dress up as a dog and return the favour.
