BRITAIN’s William Whitaker has announced that he is set to join Rushy Marsh Farm and will take over the ride on some of their horses that were previously campaigned by top Irish international rider Denis Lynch.

Whitaker (29), who landed the biggest win of his career just last weekend in the FEI Longines leg of the World Cup at London Olympia with the 14-year-old stallion Utamaro d’Ecaussinnes (see 90-91), told World of Showjumping that he is set to join the USA-based Rushy Marsh Farms. Frank and Monica McCourt’s operation is based in Wellington for the Winter Equestrian Festival and also spends time in Europe in the summer months competing.
