REGISTRATION is now open for the Teagasc Young Breeders Seminar which will be hosted at the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, on Wednesday, April 4th next. This is a day not to be missed.

A top line-up of speakers from the thoroughbred and sport horse world, including leading breeders, show jumping and event riders.

The fee of €20 includes a light supper and the event is aimed at young people, aged 14-25 but all are welcome.

Editor of The Irish Field Leo Powell will chair the career options and pathways in the thoroughbred sector.

Panellists include:

  • Timmy Hillman - Tattersalls and Castledillon Stud.
  • Guy O’Callaghan - Grangemore Stud.
  • Clodagh Kavanagh - Darley Flying Start.
  • Cathal Beale - C.E.O. Irish National Stud.
  • Teagasc’s Crea English will chair the General Industry and Sport Horse Sector.

  • Annie and Kate Madden - FenuHealth.
