TOO Darn Hot will miss the Qipco 2000 Guineas.

The John Gosden-trained colt, who was an impressive winner of all four of his starts as a two-year-old, missed his intended comeback race in last weekend's Greenham Stakes due to a splint problem.

Gosden confirmed on Saturday that the proximity of the first colts' classic of the season "does not allow us sufficient time to get the required work into him".

Lord Lloyd-Webber's homebred juvenile champion also holds entries in the Dante Stakes at York and Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained Ten Sovereigns, an unbeaten winner of last year's Group 1 Middle Park Stakes, is the new 3/1 favourite for the 2000 Guineas.
