TRAINER Seamus Fahey has won his appeal against a €2,000 fine imposed on him by the Tramore stewards earlier this month. After Canford Lady had finished fourth Fahey was found guilty of not running the mare on her merits. The 42-day ban on the mare has also been lifted but jockey Mark Bolger’s appeal against a five-day suspension was dismissed.

In a separate hearing, jockey Barry Browne had a seven-day ban reduced to five. Browne was found guilty of not making sufficient effort on Witness Cant State at Kilbeggan on June 5th.
