DERMOT Cantillon, chair of Naas Racecourse, has called into question the criteria and validity of Horse Racing Ireland’s Racecourse of the Year Award.A relatively new accolade, it is presented at the HRI Awards in December and has traditionally been decided by the Racegoers Consultative Forum, a 14-member committee established by Horse Racing Ireland. It consists of volunteers from around the country and is chaired by Bernard Caldwell, chairman of the Irish Stablestaff Association.
