THE Irish Sport Horse MHS Brown Jack (OBOS Quality x Cavalier Royale) leads the six-year-old class at the eventing World Breeding Championships for Young Horse in Le Lion d’Angers. Ridden by Britain’s Tom McEwan, the gelding was bred by the late Ita Brennan.

The combination scored 26.6 to lead. Oliver Townend occupies fifth place with the Woods Rosbotham-bred Cooley Rosalent (Valent x Roselier) on a score of 30.3. Cathal Daniels is the highest placed Irish rider in 21st with Catherine von Schoen’s LEB Empress (OBOS Quality x Colin Diamond), bred by Jo Brehany.
