THE ISPCA is looking for the perfect family to give a sweet, three-year-old collie/terrier cross the home he needs this Christmas season where he can gain confidence and get all the love he deserves.

Sociable with people and other dogs, all Loki needs is a patient, loving home with a well-secured garden, where he won’t be left alone for long stretches of time.

Loki enjoys walks and is great on a lead, although ISPCA Animal Care Assistants say he looks up often to check on who’s walking him, as though looking for reassurance.

He has been kennel-mates with dogs of varying shapes and sizes, and can go to a family with another dog for company.

ISPCA Animal Welfare Inspector Fiona Conlon rescued Loki from a hoarding situation.

Inspector Conlon said: “Loki didn’t have much contact with other people or the outside world when I rescued him from his previous situation. This very sweet dog needs and deserves a loving home where he can be happy and achieve his true potential.”

Loki is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and ready to go to a special home where he will be loved and cared for throughout his life.

If you can offer him the forever home he deserves, please visit https://www.ispca.ie/rehoming/detail/loki to complete an application form, or email info@ispca.ie for more details.
