NEWS: Irish winners added to London Sale
on 07 June 2019
A couple of well-bred racemares in foal to top stallions will also be on offer at Kensington Gardens

Irish winners added to London Sale

TWO Irish-trained Royal Ascot-bound two-year-olds are among the latest lots added to the catalogue for the Goffs London Sale on Monday week, June 17th.

Fozzy Stack’s Leopardstown winner Mohican Heights and Kieran Cotter’s Curragh scorer Daughter In Law will be offered for sale at Kensington Palace Gardens on the eve of Royal Ascot, with engagements in the Chesham Stakes and Queen Mary Stakes respectively.

Con Marnane’s Bansha Stables’ draft is headed by Real Appeal, a son of Sidestep, the exciting young sire of the Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi. His two wins from two starts include the Listed Prix la Fleche at Maisons-Laffitte, which makes him a contender for the Norfolk Stakes.

Among other Ascot bound two-year-olds on offer will be David Evans’ winner Ivatheengine (Windsor Castle), Jamie Osborne’s Seraphanite (Albany) and the maiden American Lady, who caught the eye in a Group 3 last time out (Windsor Castle or Queen Mary).

For the first time, Goffs will offer a pair of two-year-old colts who won their barrier trials at Naas on Wednesday. They are Tinnahalla, a colt by Starspangledbanner from Shamrock Bloodstock, and Kingslayer, by Footstepsinthesand, from Leamore Horses. Both will be present at the sale.

Two top-class broodmares are already catalogued. Just Sensual was a champion three-year-old filly in South Africa. She is by Dynasty and will be sold in foal to Frankel. Murasaki is a winning mare by Dubawi and she is sold in foal to Invincible Spirit.
