WHILE the country has lost some of its top traditional shows in recent times, Fingal County Council, in association with the local harrier pack, is increasing the number and variety of classes at their two-day Flavours of Fingal Show which takes place next weekend at Newbridge House, Donabate.

Bridging the divide between the city and rural dweller, as the venue is just 19km from Dublin’s O’Connell Street, the show features artisan food stalls showcasing a range of local produce from north County Dublin, livestock classes and sheepdog trials. There will also be displays of vintage tractors, ploughing with horses, traditional hay making, farriery and Victorian horse-drawn carriages.
