IRTA seeks help with history

THE Irish Racehorse Trainers Association is appealing for help in researching the history of the organisation. Former IRTA chief executive Jim Kavanagh is leading the project and said: “The Association was founded in 1950 and registered as a public limited company. We have the names of the founding members but very little else for the period between 1950 and 1970.” Anyone in possession of documents, photographs or personal recollections of the Association from that period is invited to contact Jim through the IRTA offices.
