GODOLPHIN has acquired Goodwood Group 2 Vintage Stakes winner Dark Vision and the horse will remain with Mark Johnston. The Dream Ahead colt cost Johnston just 15,000gns at the Tattersalls Book 2 Sale last October. He raced in the colours of the Kingsley Park Partnership, shares in which are openly available each year for around £7,500.
Another recent winner acquired privately by Godolphin is Vintager, a three-year-old colt by Mastercraftsman trained by David Menuisier.Winner of a Newmarket one-mile handicap off a mark of 102, the horse has joined Charlie Appleby. Appleby is enjoying a tremendous season. Among his juvenile stars is Quorto, a Dubawi colt who registered an impressive success in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket last month. The trainer has confirmed that the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes at the Curragh in September is Quorto’s next target.
