THERE will be plenty of fireworks at the Goffs UK January Sale following the addition of three impressive recent winners to the catalogue.

Timmy Hyde of Camas Park has entered Keskonrisk, runaway winner of the bumper at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day. The five-year-old is a half-brother to the high-class hurdler Grand Sancy.

Hyde is also sending over Vanillier, a six-length winner of the four-year-old maiden at Dromahane point-to-point last Monday for trainer Sam Curling.

Another potential star added to the January 21st-22nd catalogue is the Peter Fahey-trained Soviet Pimpernel, winner of a Grade 3 hurdle at Limerick last week. The lightly-raced five-year-old finished second to Quel Destin at Cheltenham in November.

Among others engaged in the sale are Dromahane winners Not A Loss and Movethechains, plus Robert Tyner’s Fishkov, who finished second to Vanilier.

James Doyle’s Borris House winner Do The Floss and Anthony Ross’s wide-margin Alnwick point-to-point winner Take Your Time are also due to be offered for sale at Doncaster.

The catalogue, which also includes National Hunt mares and yearlings, will be published online on Tuesday and further late entries will be considered.
