A CONSTANTLY evolving situation with equine travel to and from Britain post Brexit was outlined this week amid industry concern that the now difficult movement of horses and ponies to Britain threatens to shrink the trade with the sport horse industry’s biggest traditional market.

Behind the scenes, high level negotiations are going on between the various Government departments and their British counterparts to find workable solutions for the equine sectors, sport horse and thoroughbred, worth over €2 billion to Ireland’s economy each year.
