FROM January 2019, Swedish students at the Realgymnasiet chain of schools studying animal husbandry, dog and horse training at the Natural Science program will be able to do their official learning work experience in Ireland on beef, dairy farms and in equestrian centres. Equipeople, which specialises in providing agricultural, horticultural and equestrian placements to young people from all over Europe, has signed this exciting new contract with Realgymnasiet, which operates 14 colleges around Sweden.

Caroline Lane, MD of Equipeople, said: “We are very proud to partner with Realgymnasiet. We have a large number of Irish host families who look forward to welcoming a Swedish student onto their yard or farm. Ireland is a wonderful country with warm and friendly people. We believe that the partnership between both organisations will be mutually beneficial for our host families and the overseas students.
