Sarah Ennis and her 2018 World Equestrian Games medallist Horseware Stellor Rebound lead after dressage in the CCI4*-S at Ballindenisk International, taking place in Co Cork this weekend. The combination scored 27.4 in the opening phase to head proceedings from Sam Watson with Tullabeg Flamenco (32.1) and Cathal Daniels with Rioghan Rua (33), who was also on the silver medal-winning WEG team with Ennis and added individual bronze at last summer’s European Championships. Daniels leads the way in the long format four-star competition aboard Barrichello after the pair were awarded 27.8 for their dressage test. Watson again occupies second place, this time riding Imperial Sky (30.5), while Clare Abbott and Jewelent (32.1) are in third position.

Next week’s paper will have full results and reports from Ballindenisk International.
