Enable and Cracksman feature among 22 horses still in contention for Sunday’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Enable was a brilliant winner of the autumn highlight at Chantilly last season and is a red-hot favourite to successfully defend her crown at ParisLongchamp this weekend.

Whether she will be joined by stablemate Cracksman is still undecided, with trainer John Gosden monitoring ground conditions.

Aidan O’Brien has won the Arc twice before, with Dylan Thomas (2007) and Found (2016).

The Ballydoyle handler has whittled his potential team for this year’s renewal down to six, with St Leger hero Kew Gardens in the mix along with Capri, Flag Of Honour, Hunting Horn, Nelson and Magical.

Roger Varian’s Defoe and the Sylvester Kirk-trained Salouen are other potential cross-Channel raiders.

Andre Fabre has saddled a record seven previous winners, but has not struck gold since Rail Link’s victory 12 years ago.

He has four possible runners in Waldgeist, Cloth Of Stars, Talismanic and Kitesurf.

Sea Of Class, so impressive when following up her Irish Oaks victory in the Yorkshire Oaks on her latest appearance, will need to be added to the field at Wednesday’s supplementary stage if she is to take her chance.
