RESPONDING to Dáil questions raised by Dublin Deputy Roisin Shortall TD (SD) this week about the enforcement of the Control of Horses Act 1996 by both Gardaí and local authorities nationwide, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed TD (FG) outlined how €7,485,705 had been spent by County Councils seizing horses in the five-year period from 2013-2017.
