NEW Zealand racing had its first cobalt chloride positive this week. An investigation has been launched by New Zealand’s Racing Integrity Unit into the Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott-trained Quintastics who tested above the limit of 200 micrograms per litre of urine in winning the NZ$20,000 South Waikato Cup over 2,000 metres on March 11th.

The stable also has two other samples being referred to Perth’s testing laboratory to confirm the initial tests carried out in Wellington.
