DEIDRA may have taken a little time to find her feet but she has progressed with each outing through the second half of the season and she could now tackle stakes company after getting off the mark in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden over six furlongs. As she looked to build on her second to Nurse Barbara at Cork last time, the 5/2 shot had this race under control for Leigh Roche with over a furlong to run and defeated the newcomer Allez Allez Allez by a one and three-quarter lengths.

“She is a big filly who is improving all the time and she’d appreciate more of an ease in the ground,” said Michael O’Callaghan of the Robert Moran-owned daughter of Dark Angel. “She could run in a stakes race at the Curragh later this month or else the Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket and she’ll be a lovely filly going seven furlongs or a mile next spring.”
