THE last pattern race of the domestic season went for export as the William Haggas-trained With Thanks totally outclassed the home team in the Group 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Athasi Stakes which was rescheduled from its early May slot.

On just the fifth outing of her career and two runs after winning a Catterick novice event when rated 80, this daughter of Camacho marked herself out as a coming force in the fillies’ division. The 2/1 favourite’s ability to handle testing ground was already well established by the time she lined up here and she revelled in the conditions. Chris Hayes got her to the front with around two furlongs to run and she easily put the domestic defence to the sword to dish out a five-length beating to Silk Forest. Interestingly, Hayes also won the first pattern race of the season when landing the Park Express Stakes on Lemista.
