ERVEDYA, a first crop daughter of the Group 1 winner and Haras de Bonneval stallion Siyouni (by Pivotal), won the Group 3 Prix Imprudence over seven furlongs in very soft ground at Maisons-Laffitte this afternoon. It is her fourth win from six starts and her second pattern success.

Last year H.H. the Aga Khan's filly won the Group 3 Prix de Cabourg at Deauville, she finished third in the Group 1 Prix Morny at that same venue, and was runner-up to Found in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac – Criterium des Pouliches over a mile at Longchamp.

She is entered in the Group 1 Qipco 1000 Guineas, is trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, is the fourth foal out of the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux runner-up Elva (by King's Best), and she comes from the immediate family of the middle-distance Group 1 scorer Erdelistan (by Lashkari).

Half an hour later the Freddie Head-trained Ride Like The Wind gave Ballylinch Stud stallion Lope De Vega (by Shamardal) a fifth individual pattern winner from his first crop, taking the Group 3 Prix Djebel, also at Maisons-Laffitte.

Victory in this seven furlong contest is his second from six starts. Last year he finished fourth behind Ervedya in the Group 3 Prix Cabourg, an effort that does not count for blacktype, and he was sixth in the Group 1 Prix Morny. He holds an entry in the Group 1 Qipco 2000 Guineas.

Ride Like The Wind was bred by S F Bloodstock, he is a €180,000 graduate of the Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale, and he is a half-brother to the stakes-placed sprint winner Royale du Buisson (by Invincible Spirit). His dam Biswa (by Kafwain) is an unraced half-sister to the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks heroine Ariege (by Doneraile Court), and his grandam is the triple US Grade 1 star Kostroma (by Caerleon), whose European wins included the Group 3 Desmond Stakes.
