The Irish flat racing season got underway at Naas today but, instead of looking forward to all the trial races, the classics, the Group 1s and all the brilliant festivals which are the cornerstones of the whole season, we’re really just hoping we can get to the Curragh on Saturday.

That is the situation we’re in at the moment, it’s literally taking things day by day. Life and racing will eventually come back to some state of normalcy but the billion dollar question is: When will that happen?
