Willie Mullins dominated the £500,000 Dubai Cesarewitch at Newmarket on Saturday, and it looks like that will be the case in all the big staying handicaps on the flat in the coming years.

Low Sun’s defeat of Uradel gave the trainer a 1-2 in the two-mile-two-furlong contest, a result that followed an ever more powerful trend for the Irish champion jumps trainer this season. Mullins has had a huge say in the big staying handicaps, recording a 1-3-4-5 in the Ascot Stakes earlier this summer, while back at home he recorded further 1-2s in the Connacht Hotel Handicap at the Galway Festival and the Petingo Handicap at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend.
