TIPPERARY’s Killian Ryan landed the victory in the Young Rider 1.30m Grand Prix Final at Millstreet International Horse Show last Friday. Riding Canecko, he lodged the winning clear in 30.04 seconds. Ryan, would have been one of the favourites in this section, having taken third in the qualifier on Wednesday (Canecko) and second on Thursday (Marlow ELG).

Along with having a great week in the international classes, Galway’s Sven Hadley also featured in this line-up, claiming the runner-up spot with Calanthe Slot, clear in 32.11. Accounting for third waereDan Geaney and Inspector Roscoe, just fractions behind in 32.23, ahead of Raphael Lee and Gamble on Quality, clear in 32.49. Fifth place was filled by Second Lt James Whyte and Deerpairc, clear in 33.45, while in sixth was Meadhbh Mealiff with Loredano van der Noordheok, clear in 35.52.
