MEATH’s Declan McEvoy came out on top in the third round of the Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour at Ravensdale Lodge in Co Louth last Sunday.

McEvoy partnered the seven-year-old Kannan gelding BLM Cosmopolitan Dandy to victory, with one of just two double clear rounds in 45.31 seconds. The pair had four seconds to spare over runner-up Daniela O’Toole (49.67) aboard the eight-year-old mare Drumagoland Cancun who also kept all the fences standing.
