The 53-year-old Olympic rider from Devon was given a yellow card by the ground jury at Bramham Horse Trials last weekend for not pulling up her horse MHS King Joules.

Yellow cards can be given to riders for dangerous riding, abuse of a horse, incorrect behaviour, incorrect safety equipment and breaches of rules. King received her first yellow card last November for dangerous riding on Cavalier Venture during the cross-country section of the Young Event Horse Championships. Writing on her website, the Devon native said she was “very sorry” and “embarrassed” to receive the FEI suspension.
