IN spite of her lying on the ground for some time, Co Fermanagh trainer David Christie reported that Maple Mons was perfectly okay following her fall at the second last fence in the open at Borris House last Sunday.

Homebred by the Charles family in Co Donegal, the 2015/16 joint-champion mare had edged ahead of the longtime leader, and eventual winner, Valco De Touzaine, four out and looked as if she was set to bring up her 12th victory between the flags before coming to grief.
