BRIAN Hughes won the concluding bumper at Catterick on Tuesday on the Malcolm Jefferson-trained 5/4 favourite Return Ticket while, on Wednesday, he landed he opening novices’ hurdle at Musselburgh on the Keith Dalgleish-trained Silver Concorde, a 1/10 chance.

Co Meath jockey Andrew Lynch rode a double at the Scottish venue. It was initiated in the two and a half-mile handicap chase by the Jim Dreaper-trained Mullaghmurphy Blue, who scored in the colours of his breeder Tom White, and completed in the three-mile handicap chase on the Karl Thornton-trained Rancher Lass.
